David King
David ‘s guiding lights are design and architecture. And land conservation. And libraries. And education. And any kind of terrier. His deep interest in material culture stems from growing up on his grandparents’ farm in the Mississippi Valley, where generations of artifacts were readily at hand. He is a veteran of the US Navy. David restored an early 19th Century house in Schoharie County as a weekend retreat while living in NYC’s East Village, and while working as an in-house Copywriter and Creative Manager for international cosmetics corporations. He is familiar with the back roads of Columbia County and the four river towns of Greene. An Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), David’s favorite witty quote: A decorator was once asked “What is the most over-used accessory?” “Money.”
